Community Collaboration Summit

Up to two groups will be awarded Community Collaboration Summits. This is a one-day facilitation focusing on reviewing secondary data, understanding local community-wide barriers and assets to PSE work, and identifying partnerships and Action steps to building broader efforts to support improving connectivity/walkability and/or access to healthy foods.

Summits will focus on identifying and documenting barriers and opportunities to a specific issue and building partnerships to identify and implement solutions. 

Example projects include but are not limited to: developing an action plan to create a multi-city trail or connectivity plan, creating a healthy business program through an EDC or Chamber of Commerce; Creating a Food Policy Council, Conducting a Food System Analysis, or creating Healthy Food Pantries within a County or multi county collaboration, developing a multi partner health communication plan. 

Applicants will recruit at least 25 key community partners to attend and participate in the six hour Summit . The WOW-E team will provide assistance in gathering and analyzing secondary data, facilitation of the Summit, and technical assistance with action planning and implementation. Groups that complete a meaningful plan will be invited to submit them for a competitive review to receive up to $25k for project implementation. 

Applications will open on April 1, 2022. 

Summits will occur by August 12, 2022.

Plans must be submitted for Competitive review by September 2, 2022.
